My name is Chris Dalby and I run the Live Meeting User Group.   I am also Director of Yellow Park, a Microsoft Certified Partner and reseller of Live Meeting.  If you would like to get involved with LMUG, please post a comment here in this forum.  We are actively seeking people to get involved in this user group.  So feel free to make suggestions for content, request a blog or get involved with the running of webcasts.

Hello all, my name is Anselm Gaynor and I work in Marketing Communications for a large US multi-national in the Life Sciences industry, at the EU headquarters here in the UK.

Primarily I'm an experienced end user of Live Meeting but I also manage to combine the roles of sponsor, trainer and account manager at the same time. I have been using Live Meeting heavily since April 2006 and to date have organised and facilitated many online training sessions, review meetings and presentations.

I am all too familiar with the difficulties faced in getting webconferencing formally adopted as a business tool within such a large and complex organisation, and while it's been a struggle to get this far, I'm pleased to say that my company has begun to see the potential benefits and cost savings, which I expect to lead to a planned, formal global rollout in the near future.

    I'm here specifically to:

    • Meet other LM users and discuss typical uses/tips etc
    • Discuss software issues and limitations/workarounds
    • Evaluate online training and collaborative meetings using LM
    • Share best practice
    • Discuss adoption and rollout with resellers

I look forward to talking to many of you, and becoming involved in technical and general discussion so that I can improve my understanding of LM.

Hi Chris, no unfortunately I'm not (lack of time) but I would be interested in future events. Would also be good if somebody could do a brief summary of how the EVO event goes with respect to Live Meeting, and post it here.

    Regards, Anselm.
