Re: Use this forum to Ask Microsoft directly

    Hi All,

This is Simon here, I'm one of the Live Meeting TSPs in Europe, and as mentioned will be monitoring this board for anything you'd like to talk about. Where possible I'll give you answers (questions about whats in the next, next, next Zip it!release I will sadly decline to answer)Smile. However, I'll try to be open on topics, and will always try to either answer or direct you to places where you can find the ifnromation you need on Live Meeting.

Also, I'm a good person to fedback wish list items too! Big Smile Live Meeting is one of the services that is very much customer driven. I know, I used to be a customer too!

Thanks and good luck with the forum!

    LiveMeeting 2007 PowerPoint Plug-in Question

I work for Univar USA. We have been using the LiveMeeting tool since it was Placeware, going on nine years ago, now.

We will be converting to LiveMeeting 2007 before June of this year.

We have been thru  both the LiveMeeting 2003 and 2005 conversions.

Thru both conversions, we were provided Outlook and PowerPoint LiveMeeting plug-ins.

We understand that with the LiveMeeting 2007 version, Microsoft has decided not to create a PowerPoint plug-in.

This greatly affects how we utilize polling, web and app share slides.

Please advise as to why Microsoft has decided not to provide a PowerPoint plug-in with the latest version of LiveMeeting.

     Thanks much.

Re: LiveMeeting 2007 PowerPoint Plug-in Question

    Hi Shirely,

I'm not clear as to the details why we stopped the development of the Powerpoint plug-in, BUT I know that the developers are right now looking at the work needed to make changes to the plug-ins for LM 2007. Now would be a very good time to contact support and register your absolute need for this plug-in. I will also feed this back, and to those who are reading this, I would like to hear from you all, on "wish list" items for the future. I cannot guarentee they will make it intop the product, but I can ensure they are feedback to the developers straight away.

    Thanks

    Simon
