    Hi peaboy

Not something I've come accross before, but I would think it can be done.  I'll have a search and see if I can find anything.  What are you hoping to use it for?  You are effectively setting up a direct link into the meeting for an annonymous user.

We use a meeting which essentially is always available and I have a URL I send to attendees and a seperate one for myself. the URL has all the info but my name and I figurd why not have too. Not a big deal in al honesty, I just assume its possible.

    Re: URL Parameters

    Hi Peaboy,

Sorry for not replying earlier, but you can populate the name very easily. Here is an example:

    https://www.livemeeting.com/cc/ukdemo5/join?cn=SIMON&id=S48XFX&role=present&pw=MR%2BBZ4jzB

In the above example, you will see that I have added in another XML variable CN= the field that populates to include the user name is represented by this variable. You can easily try this by creating a meeting, cut and pasting the url for the presenter, and inserting after the join?cn=name& there is no specific order of these variables, as long as the convention is that its after the join command, and each variable is sperated by the &

Anymore question, feel free to drop them in the Ask Microsoft Section....that's where I normally hide !!!

    Hi Simon

Thanks for picking up on that one, not something I could find information on but using the "CN" variable is probably one I should have worked out!

ugh, they used CN because its a X500 (or is it 400) directory field. CN is Common Name. I noticed (in trying) that the CN has to be lower case.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi Peaboy,

Not sure about its origins. However, there is a full list of all the XML commands that can be used with Live Meeting in out developer section on the support site. I have put the link below for reference.

     http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/office/aa905513.aspx

This XML API gives you all you need to develop or build integration with other XML based tools, for example, learning management systems etc.
