    Unstable Video connection

    Hi,

    Currently testing Hosted LiveMeeting 2007.

During the test...we are unable to establish a stable video source. Worst within our corporate network (100Mb) . Better using using HSPA (wireless broadband no firewall 7.2Mb).

One document suggest to open up port 80 and 443. We check and confirm both are opened.

    Any advise on possible cause?

    Thanks

    Re: Unstable Video connection

The Security doc has a lot of helpful details:

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/livemeeting/HA102026641033.aspx?pid=CL100608181033

For audio video stuff, Live Meeting (v2007) is going to prefer UDP port 3478 because it provides the best performance.

If this port is not accessible, it rolls to TCP 443 for audio/video which increases the amount of data on the wire and slows down the performance.

    Re: Unstable Video connection

    Hi Mitchell,

Microsoft release a new Live Meeting console this week which according to the KB articles, addresses an issue relating to the stability of video.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957491/en-us

You can download it here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA101733831033.aspx

Please try this and see if it improves the stability.

    Thanks

    Simon
